Yacht Deals Monaco (Disney+ Original): Release Date, What the Series Is About, and Inside Monaco Yachting
Published on July 30, 2026
Yacht Deals Monaco is a Disney+ Original reality series streaming from 30 September 2026, following aspiring yacht professionals as they compete for a place on one of Monaco's leading yacht brokerage teams. Produced by LEONINE Documentaries in collaboration with i&u TV, the series is set against the backdrop of Monaco and the French Riviera, and I am delighted to share that I appear in it as a superyacht expert consultant.
For me, this project represents much more than television. After more than a decade working internationally in the superyacht industry as a consultant, educator, author and entrepreneur, I have always believed that yachting has extraordinary stories waiting to be shared with the world.
What Is Yacht Deals Monaco?
Yacht Deals Monaco is an eight-part reality series that takes viewers inside the world of luxury superyachts and the people who make it work. Announced originally as Yacht Dream Monaco, the series arrives on Disney+ on 30 September 2026. The format follows candidates competing for the opportunity to join a leading Monaco brokerage team — and in doing so, it opens up an industry that very few people ever get to see from the inside.
Most portrayals of yachting stop at the surface: the boats, the destinations, the parties. This series goes further. It shows the ambition, the pressure and the discipline behind a career in luxury yachting, and it does so in one of the most competitive yachting markets in the world.
Superyachts are not simply about luxury. They represent exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, engineering, design, hospitality and entrepreneurship. A single yacht can involve hundreds of specialists across a dozen disciplines, and a brokerage deal can take years of relationship-building before a contract is ever signed. That is the part of the industry the series makes visible.
My Role in the Series
I appear in Yacht Deals Monaco as a superyacht expert consultant, bringing the perspective of someone who has spent a career on the professional side of this industry rather than the promotional one.
Throughout my career I have had the privilege of advising yacht owners, buyers, family offices, brokers, shipyards and luxury brands across Europe and the Middle East. I am the founder of Onboard Monaco, Programme Director of the Yachting Masterclass at the Yacht Club de Monaco's La Belle Classe Academy, and author of The Superyacht Industry.
Being part of Yacht Deals Monaco is an opportunity to help open the doors to this industry and inspire a wider audience to discover the people, the careers and the businesses behind it. It reflects the same mission I have pursued through consulting, education and marketing for over a decade: connecting people with the world of superyachts through knowledge, authenticity and meaningful experience.
An opportunity to open the doors to this industry — and inspire a wider audience to discover the people, the careers and the businesses behind it.
What the Candidates Are Actually Competing For
A yacht broker does far more than list boats. The role sits at the intersection of sales, technical knowledge, law, discretion and long-term relationship management.
On the sales side, a broker represents an owner selling a vessel — pricing it correctly, presenting it to the right market, and managing a negotiation that often spans multiple jurisdictions and currencies. On the buying side, a broker acts for the client: shortlisting suitable yachts, arranging viewings and sea trials, coordinating surveys, and protecting the buyer through a process where the details matter enormously.
Charter brokerage is a different discipline again — matching a client's expectations for a week at sea with the right yacht, the right crew and the right cruising ground, then managing every element of that experience.
Underneath all of it sits something harder to teach: judgement. Knowing which yacht is genuinely right for a client rather than merely available. Knowing when a deal is not the right deal. Understanding what yacht ownership actually involves before the purchase, not after.
That is what makes a brokerage position in Monaco worth competing for, and why the process shown in the series is as demanding as it is.
How People Really Get Into Superyacht Careers
The most common question I am asked — long before this series, and now more than ever — is how someone actually gets started in this industry.
There is no single route. Some people come from sailing or crew backgrounds and move ashore. Some come from luxury hospitality, private aviation, real estate or finance and bring transferable client skills. Some come from naval architecture, marine engineering or law. What they share is not a particular degree; it is credibility with a very demanding clientele, and a genuine understanding of the product.
What consistently separates the people who build lasting careers from those who do not:
Product knowledge.
You cannot advise on a yacht you do not understand. Shipyards, build quality, layouts, running costs, flag and class — this is learnable, and it is not optional.
Networks over applications.
The majority of roles in this industry are filled through relationships and reputation, not job boards. Being present at the right shows, marinas and events matters.
Discretion.
Clients at this level value privacy above almost everything. It is a professional requirement, not a courtesy.
Patience.
Superyacht transactions are long. The people who succeed are the ones who can invest years in a relationship before it produces anything.
Structured learning.
Learning entirely on the job is slow and expensive in mistakes. Start with the fundamentals - I wrote The Superyacht Industry as the overview I wish existed when I started- then the Yachting Masterclass and its online programme, or one-to-one career coaching for people entering or moving within the industry.
If the series makes this world look demanding, that is because it is. It is also one of the most rewarding industries I know.
Women in Superyacht Leadership
I have spent much of my career encouraging more women to pursue leadership roles in yachting — not only in crew positions, but in brokerage, ownership representation, shipyard management and boardrooms. I run one of the largest women in yachting communities, if you would like to join please send us a message with your background
The industry has changed meaningfully over the past decade, and it still has distance to travel. Visibility is a large part of how that changes: it is difficult to aspire to a role you have never seen anyone like you occupy. A series that shows women competing and leading in Monaco brokerage does more for that than any panel discussion I could sit on.
Why This Series Matters for the Superyacht Industry
Our industry has historically been reluctant to open its doors. There are good reasons for discretion, but the cost has been a persistent talent shortage and a public understanding of yachting that rarely goes beyond the cliché.
Media done well solves part of that. It shows the engineering and the craftsmanship. It shows the careers that exist. It shows an industry that supports thousands of skilled professionals across the Mediterranean and beyond. That is why I said yes to this project, and why I hope it reaches an audience far outside the usual yachting circles.

There is no single route. Most people enter from yacht crew, luxury hospitality, finance, real estate or marine technical backgrounds. What matters most is genuine product knowledge, a network within the industry, discretion, and structured training â brokerage roles are typically filled through relationships and reputation rather than public job listings. A recognised qualification helps with all of it: the Yachting Masterclass I direct at the Yacht Club de Monaco's La Belle Classe Academy awards a certificate from the Yacht Club de Monaco and is built around the people already working in the industry.
Do you need experience to work in the superyacht industry?
Not necessarily prior yachting experience, but you do need relevant transferable skills and credible product knowledge.
